Ornament Wreath

I absolutely adore wreaths, and have found in the last year that homemade wreaths are much charming and affordable. Last year about this time I stumbled across an ornament wreath that was too cute to pass up, so I gathered up my girls and we spent our crafternoon stringing and gluing our ornaments together until we each had the perfect holiday wreath. I love my wreath so much that last week, over the Thanksgiving holiday, I crafted another ornament wreath to deck the halls of Free Range Joni’s house. This time I documented the steps to share with all of you!

Shopping List

1 Wire Wreath Frame
Approximately 75 regular size ornament balls
Approximately 25 mini ornament balls
Thread or String
Hot Glue Gun

Method

1. Tie a regular sized ornament ball to one of the inner two rungs of the wreath frame.

2. Continue to tie regular sized ornament balls to one of the two inner rungs of the wreath until you have a small cluster.  For some of the ornament balls you will want to have a longer string so they can be placed on top of the other ornaments that are tied to the wreath frame.

3. Once you have a cluster of 5-7 ornament balls, start attaching them using hot glue.

4. Continue this process until the entire wreath is covered.

5. Once the wreath is covered with regular size ornament balls. Start filling in any gaps or holes with  the mini ornament balls.  You will attach the mini balls with hot glue only (no string.)
